Chicago Chiropractor Helps Numbness

I love success stories, let me share one with you about numbness. One month ago an 70 year old man came to me with numbness and tingling in his right hand. He is an avid ping pong player and the numbness and tingling was getting so severe that he had to start playing ping pong with is left (non-dominant) hand because he was unable to use his right hand. This was not only effecting his ping pong, but his social life as ping pong is the activity he loves the most! After a thorough chiropractic examination we discovered the pressure on the nerve causing his numbness was occurring in his neck.

We developed a treatment plan that consisted of adjustments, stretching and postural correction exercises and within a month the numbness was 100% gone and he is now back to playing ping pong and crushing his competition!

It is very common that the place you may be experiencing symptoms is different from the place the problem is being caused. We have a saying in our office, “Don’t chase the pain.” What this means is if I were to be just focused on this patient’s hand we never would have been able to get him better. It is critical to find the CAUSE of the symptoms and then work on correcting that!

It’s stories like this that never get old! This is why I come to work everyday and love doing what I do. If you, or anyone you know is suffering from numbness, please know that there is help for you. Chiropractic is safe, gentle and effective.
