Many insurance plans cover chiropractic care, but it is best to check with your insurance provider to confirm your coverage. Bourdage Chiropractic is in-network with most BlueCross BlueShield and Aetna PPO plans. We also accept Medicare. Most insurance policies have out-of-network benefits. If you have United, Cigna or another plan we are out-of-network with we can verify that coverage for you. Our office also offers affordable payment plans for patients without insurance coverage. HOW LONG DOES A TYPICAL CHIROPRACTIC APPOINTMENT TAKE?

Most appointments last 15-20 minutes. Your first appointment might be longer as we take the time to perform a thorough evaluation. Ongoing appointments can vary depending on the patient's needs and the type of treatment being provided.

IS CHIROPRACTIC CARE SAFE?

Yes, chiropractic care is safe when provided by a licensed and trained chiropractor. Chiropractors are trained to identify any potential risks or contraindications and adjust their treatment plan accordingly. Additionally, chiropractic care is non-invasive and drug-free, which makes it a safer alternative to many traditional medical treatments.

HOW MANY CHIROPRACTIC SESSIONS WILL I NEED?

Some patients may require weekly or monthly visits, while others may only need occasional visits to manage chronic conditions. Dr. Bourdage will develop a customized treatment plan that fits your individual needs and goals.

DOES CHIROPRACTIC CARE HURT?

Most patients say it feels wonderful! It is rare, but some patients may experience soreness after an adjustment that is similar to a-just-worked-out kind of soreness. This typically only occurs after the first couple of adjustments if it occurs at all.

WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT DURING MY FIRST CHIROPRACTIC APPOINTMENT?

During your first appointment, your chiropractor will perform a thorough evaluation of your health history, conduct an exam, and may perform diagnostic tests, such as X-rays. Based on the findings, they will develop a customized treatment plan that may include manual therapies, exercise recommendations, and lifestyle changes.

CAN CHIROPRACTIC CARE HELP WITH PREGNANCY-RELATED PAIN?

Yes! Chiropractors can use gentle, non-invasive techniques to alleviate discomfort like lower back pain, hip pain and sciatica and improve overall pregnancy wellness.
